THE NORTH FORK
APPROACH

Thoughtfully Crafted

At North Fork, we put a lot of thought into the seemingly little things. Why? Because those are the things that you’ll notice when you’re home is no longer a wish list, a collection of architect’s plans or a construction site but instead, the place where you actually live. Our approach is simple: we look to tomorrow for every decision we make today.

As experienced craftsmen, we know how your home will wear in. At North Fork, we don’t just build your home for the day it’s delivered, but instead, for all of those years you’ll be enjoying it. To ensure that you’re satisfied for the life of your home, we pay special attention to all of those little things — like using a slightly thicker door than is standard, or adding an extra oil-coat because that way the finish will hold up that much longer. Or taking the extra time to use pocket screws that you won’t even see, or adding that extra little mitred detail on the window sash that you will.

We overthink everything now, so you won’t have to think about it at all, later.

We understand that you’re committed to your home for the long term. And so are we.

Honestly Made

When you work with North Fork, you work with a special group of skilled craftsmen who put quality ahead of size, people ahead of profit, and what’s right over what’s just enough. Because we take a client-forward approach, honesty and transparency serve as guidelines for every aspect of our process.

And this philosophy extends to our homebuilding process as well. We never cut corners, but instead recognize that it is only by using the finest materials and time-tested techniques that we can consistently create high quality homes that you’ll appreciate for years to come.

But honesty takes another form in the homebuilding process as well: building a home is a business agreement and, though our word is our covenant, we go the extra step to ensure that both our clients and our sub-contractors have a clear and up to date picture of what’s going on at all times.

“We make sure to keep everything as transparent as possible,” says co-owner Scott Edgett. “Everyone is paid on-time, and in most cases early, and — most importantly — the client always knows exactly what they’re being billed for. We don’t play games.”

“Our experience from the design stage through the build phase was

excellent, and thoroughly a pleasure. What’s more, there were no budget surprises!”

We Build Great Homes for Great Clients

Our Company

In some ways we are less like a company, and more like a family of craftsmen working together to produce outstanding work. We remain passionate about our craft, recognize that there is always a chance to learn something new every day, and always welcome both new opportunities and new challenges.

Gallery

At North Fork, we’ve had the honor of working on many, many projects over the years. Although all have been diverse and challenging in their own unique ways, one common theme runs through all: For us, and each and every client, the vision, process and finished result is deeply personal. View selected photos of many of those experiences here.

Case Studies

Although every project is unique, there is a common thread to our work: We always value quality over size and no detail is ever overlooked. Most importantly we recognize that our relationships with our clients are integral to our success, and always make sure to put them at ease throughout the entire process.
